Tonight
Everything comes to life with the wind. Even plastic bags huddle against the fence. Places go to sleep too. Bicycles frozen, handlebars slightly right or left askew, waiting on owners to finish their deferred motion and take off again. Skipping a cab, I find a book called Hope Endures on the sidewalk, and flipping through, leave it for someone to find on a shrub. Forget Calcutta, God is here tonight.
